We are leaving DC now after a pretty fantastic show lastnight. 4000 ppl at a private show at George Washington University made our first visit to DC as a band one to remember. Looking forward to coming back for our NYE show with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings.
I have provided links of some backstage audio interviews with us and your host James “George Washington” King. Along with some photos taken from my camera.
Hello Superfans,
It’s James of Fitz and the Tantrums, out here on the road opening for Maroon 5. Not James of Maroon 5, but… you get it?
So I am just learning how to post on this here blog and thought you might enjoy some pictures from my iPhone.
We are on the way to our hotel after wrapping up another insane show with Maroon 5. We played Virgina Tech this evening. This tour has been such a great experience for all of us, who thought after only a year of playing out live together we would have so many amazing opportunities. We really want to thank all of you wonderful people that have seen us play, for your amazing energy! There is nothing better than looking into a crowd and seeing that you are having as much fun as we are on that stage. We are looking forward to the rest of the coming days of this tour, and hope that you will spread the word about us to all of your peeps!
I was trying to get some footage of today’s show but Alas I wasn’t able to get my camera up on my iPhone without looking like I was texting on stage but here is something I captured at sound check.
Thanks Again St. John’s, Cornell and Virgina Tech for showing us love! We appreciate u all!
So we began the Second Day of touring with Maroon 5 yesterday. We played Cornell University inside of Barton Hall. They set up an amazing Stage right in the middle of the university’s indoor race track. The show sold out completly at 5000 ppl., so when we took the stage we had a little over 4000 screaming people in front of us. It was pretty amazing! We took some photos and some video for all of you to check out.
We will be performing at Virgina State University tomorrow, tell your friends!
