We Lost Our Monkay in Peoria

So we road off into the mighty moonlight after our wornderful show in Newark Delaware and landed in a town known as Peoria Illinois. It was a 14 hour drive through rain, and more rain, sunshine and a magnificant sunset. We performed at Bradley University in this stunning theater that reminded me of an updated opera house. The crowd was super hype and the ladies seemed to love Mr. Fitz.

On the drive up we were able to capture some brilliant moments on film (or digital whatever you want to call it) for your viewing pleasure. I hope you like what I have compiled for you because these pictures, and video took forever to download, and I would be really sad if none of you fine readers bother to comment or share this tale of wonderous touring excitement with all of your friends and family folk who have never heard of us before. Because I know that they would All like us just as much as you do and we like ourselves to….. I should stop typing now because I’m getting all emotional…. Sorry for my outburst….

So without further ado I bring to you

Fitz & The Tantrums road trip to Peoria!

As Beautifuly arranged by Noelle Scaggs the tambourine girl.

Hi y’all! I am sure that you are 0% surprised that I am here. But hey, you want a comment? Well I will give you a COMMENT FOR THE AGES!

I’m not sure how I could upstage Noelle’s brilliant narrative, though. I think its hilarious! It is also clearly the best blog entry of all time, so good in fact that other bloggers should be quivering in their virtual boots tomorrow, except me because, well, I don’t have virtual boots.

ANYWAY, this ramble is not even close to being epic enough–what’s wrong with me? I need to step it up here!

On that note: you may or may not want to look up what the three really classy definitions of “monkay” are on urbandictionary.com. I’ll put it this way: if *I* am blushing, then you know it’s gotta be REAL BAD. :P And don’t get me started on sock monkeys.

I am that person who has harassed her family and friends incessantly about you guys since that fateful day in September when I saw you live and fell down the musical rabbit hole I am so fond of. ;-) I have converted quite a few of them but some may take more convincing! I am sure that the sight of Noelle’s GINORMOUS EYEBALLS are the way to achieve this, I just KNOW it. After all, who doesn’t love eyeballs? And Noelle, as my family loved to tell me when I was a kid, I’m not laughing AT you, I’m laughing WITH you! See? All better :D

I swear I haven’t been drinking (YET). I am suffering from massive sleep deprivation though, not that you asked how I was doing or care :P I wish I could report that I had another dream about Fitz hanging out with all of those midget girls (apologies to midget girls reading this, it’s not my fault!), but alas, as I have not been sleeping much dreams have been hard to come by!

Anyway, thank you for this piece of brilliance. I will send it to my friends and family so that they can laugh at me but hopefully download your music too.

Thanks for putting up with me–I try to pimp you guys as much as possible so that it will make up for how overbearing I can be sometimes…it’s all from the heart, you know.

Hopefully this has been suitably epic. Have fun and get your butts back to California soon :D

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to let you know that I fell in love with your music during your Peoria show! I’m a Bradley student and came to see Maroon 5 but was pleasently suprised hear your new sound. I really like to hear something different and your mix of old school soul and jazz mixed with a fast paced rock was simply wonderful to hear! thanks for the great show, and I hope to hear more from you soon!
