Live From Daryl’s House/ HTC AD

Last week Fitz and The Tantrums swung by the upstate New York home of Daryl Hall to jam with the legend himself!  The seven-song session will premiere tonight at 8pm EST (5pm PST) on Daryl’s monthly web show, Live From Daryl’s House.  “To get to play with one of my biggest influences and idols was a dream come true,” raves Fitz, “Daryl and the guys put it down and we all left it on the floor! We went pretty deep into the Daryl Hall catalog to sing the first song Daryl ever recorded. It was a day we will never forget!”

Before I watched LFDH last night, I hadn't heard of Fitz and the Tantrums. I enjoyed the show so much that I am going to buy the CD. What a GREAT sound! I will surely keepo checking the schedule to see when I might be able to catch a live show…

A big hi from England … just watched LFDH and was totally blown away by you guys. What a fantastic sound – I can hear so much H&O in your stuff but you completely transform those classic influences into something very new and fresh. Going to buy the album pronto (and now have a little crush on Fitz). Please please please come to the UK! I'll spread the word over here.

    Fitz,
Loved your rendition of “Girl I Love You” with Daryl. I am the Originator of The Temptones with Daryl and I thought of that name. I left the group for the Air Force in October '65. The late Barry Glazer, my best friend, took over for me until my return. Unfortunately by 1969 the Temptones were gone.I was not on the record but I will always be a Temptone. Except for Barry, The original Temptones are all still living. Brian , lives here in Philly suburbs as I do, Kenny in Florida…and Daryl. We were the four originals.
I am a retired Physician but have been actively singing since the early days here in the Philly area.
I want to wish you and your group all the best. Yes , it's a pleasure to see Daryl singing next to you.( If you e-mail me i'll send you some cool pix.) but it's even better to just hang out and get the feel of the music

Fitz & The Tantrums I found out about on Daryl Hall's webcast show by virtue of facebook, by virtue of YouTube. O.M.Goodness, Gracious. Daryl Hall & John Oates are part of my upbringing, but when I saw the show for the 1st time this week, I found out about YOU (Fitz & The Tantrums)! Off the chain, the hook, through the roof…! Bottom Line: High End, High Quality, High Infidelity. I love ya! -Jon from Sacramento, CA. * I hope you come to SacTown!!

Started hearing you on Sirius a few months ago. Finally pulled the trigger on Amazon, my only gripe is “Why did I wait so long?” The band is great. I will definately pump and promote the show in Cleveland at the Grog Shop. Can't wait tio see you perform live.

    Fitz and the Tantrums!

The experience I had last night with Mind Fish, The Modern Electric, and yourselves was absolutely incredible. I have been to some sweet shows this year, but you guys and gal brought it real, real strong to the grog shop. I was taken aback. Thank you so much just for being in whatever circumstances you were in when you found each other, because the musical gods must have decided to work some magic and see if you all could mesh.

Fitz and the Tantrums, You. Fucking. Roll!!!

Thanks again for doing that thing you do!

Just got home from your Detroit show. It was a blast!! The show took off with a great opening band, Jessica Hernandez and The Deltas and then Fitz and crew tore the roof off! My wife and I were lucky to get a stage right view and the icing on the cake was getting to meet the band as you guys made your way to the front of the theater!! Thanks for a great show and a awesome evening! Look for some pictures on Instagram!

SUPER excited to see you Wed in Brooklyn!! Totally in <3 with the sound. Everyone I tell loves you too!

  • Derek

Thanks for coming to Montreal last month folks (first gig in Canada!)–it was a fantastic dance party from the first note. I spoke to Jeremy after the show to pass on thanks to y'all. Sometimes we can be fighting an injustice (eg. our govt's thieving from Indigenous people) and the frustrations can grind us down; but one of the things that keeps people going to fight the good fight is being able to bust out to great tunes.
You provide the soundtrack to bring the smile back.
    Thanks guys.
    Peace!
    Derek
